Image Works Contributes Vehicle Graphics Package To National Back-To-Work Program For Truckers

Company’s Silver Anniversary Celebration Includes Debut Of New Website

Allentown, Pa. – Image Works, the Lehigh Valley’s leader in vehicle wrapping and large-format graphics, is marking its silver anniversary by participating in a national program to put an unemployed trucker back on the road and unveiling a new website highlighting its innovative techniques and experience.

Image Works founder Don Wertman of Lower Macungie and his staff will be on-hand March 23 in Louisville, Ky., when Arrow Trucks reveals the winner of its fifth annual “Back On The Road” contest, which provides the winning driver with the use of a 2008 Mack Pinnacle High-Rise Sleeper and a year-long work agreement with Heartland Express.

Image Works and Wertman donated the $2,000 graphics package that will adorn the Pinnacle truck as part of an ongoing effort to give back to the community. Image Works has a tradition of supporting worthy causes, including contributions of more than $8,000 in services and signage annually to the America On Wheels, regular support for the Allentown Art Museum and support for WDIY-FM public radio.

“We believe that our success is built by the support of the business community, both in the Lehigh Valley and nationally,” said Wertman. “When Mack Trucks came to us with the “Back On The Road” project, we knew it was a great way to help both a great cause an a deserving trucker get the chance to restore his life and livelihood.”

The winning driver will be presented with the “Back On The Road” package this week at the Mid-America Trucking Show in Louisville.

Image Works is also designing, producing and installing wraps and graphics packages for five Mack Trucks that will be displayed at the Mid-America Trucking Show.

Image Works has been creating innovative, unique branding opportunities for customers since 1970 when Wertman began offering full-color photographic printing. Over the past four decades, he have made Innovation the operative word in his business philosophy and that continues to give his company the edge on the competition.

“We introduced large-format digital printing to our customers in 1995 and we have been designing and installing vehicle and structural wraps since 1997,” Wertman said. “In short, we’ve blazed the trail that others have followed. We offer the best value because we are not learning on the job.”

In addition to Mack Trucks, Image Works wraps or provides vehicle and architectural graphics packages for local businesses such as Air Products, Blue Ridge Cable, the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs and Fegley Brew Works, among others, and has wrapped vehicles as diverse as small cars and the Jersey Outlaw, a professional, open-water race boat.

The new website – www.goimageworks.com -- designed by GGA Associates of Allentown, was created to highlight Image Works’ unique skill and experience in the graphics and wrapping fields and features time-lapse video of the Jersey Outlaw wrapping project, among other illustrations and information.
